First we start with a genuine O.E. VW engine case, AS41 alloy dual relief for T-1 Beetle/Ghia and T-2 Bus-1971 application. These are brand new cases with 8mm cylinder head stud inserts.
Note: A common question we get about all new engine cases is that it looks like there is a missing cylinder stud threaded insert missing on the number 3 cylinder. This thread has been deep inset and requires a longer cylinder stud. All of our dual-port cylinder stud kits come with this correct longer stud. This deep inset thread was done by the factory back in the early 70's to eliminate the problem of the engine case cracking behind the flywheel area.
