Description
New O.E.M. VW stock engine case for 13-1600cc engine. This AS41 dual relief case comes with bolt holes for 68-71 T-2/Bus rear engine brace. It also has the Type-3 oil dipstick mount fully machined for use in any Type-3 application. This engine case uses the original style grooved cam plug, and is fitted with a 14mm oil pick-up tube. Don't forget to order a Type-3 oil pick-up tube block-off plate if you plan to use this case in a Beetle, Ghia or Bus. For block-off plate, see part number VWC-113-115-349.

Note: A common question we get about all new engine cases is that it looks like there is a missing cylinder stud threaded insert missing on the number 3 cylinder. This thread has been deep inset and requires a longer cylinder stud. All of our dual-port cylinder stud kits come with this correct longer stud. This deep inset thread was done by the factory back in the early 70's to eliminate the problem of the engine case cracking behind the flywheel area.
