This is the correct replacement front disc brake backing plate for the factory 66-71 Type-3 and 67-74 Karmann Ghia. This is also the correct backing plate for most of the popular aftermarket standard Beetle front disc brake conversion kits that use the stock VW style (Ghia) front spindle. These backing plates DO NOT fit the Super Beetle front disc brake kits, or any of the special aftermarket DROPPED spindles available.
