This plug harness is essential when repairing wiring that has been burned because of ignition wiring short circuits.
This wiring harness and plug fit stock ignition and is housed inside the steering column.

STANDARD BEETLE - 71-74 - 1971 from Chassis# 1112799843 to 1974 Chassis 1142358022.
SUPER BEETLE - 71-72 - 1971 from Chassis 1112799843.
GHIA - 72-74 - 1974 Ghia up to Chassis # 142358021.
VW THING - 73-74 to Chassis # 1842356315.
This harness can be used in later models if you splice this plug and harness to the original wiring.
